St. Patrick's Day In Savannah - 2007

updated 3/26/2007

This is a work in progress, especially since I am having difficulty editing the main picture server, but I have placed links to pictures and articles from our trip. I had a great time - the city and people were great, and after a somewhat "brisk" start (we NEVER say "cold", do we??), the weather cooperated and gave us perfect marching weather! There are many "free" sites such as http://photos.yahoo.com. Upload your images and email me the link at webmaster@secondtimearounders.com

VIDEO from Randy Glass:

http://www.wsav.com/midatlantic/sav/st_patricks_day.html select the Parade-Part Three. The part with the rounders starts about 3mins into the video and it's pretty extensive, except that the announcer called the Second Time Abounders. Guess he had a little too much of that Irish Coffee before his shift.

Audio and video from Lee Lafleur - this is a GREAT PRESENTATION but due to the video and sound it takes a while to load - broadband download is about 4 minutes - click on the leprechaun to start download, and you MAY have to download the player (it will tell you if you need it). Above all, be patient !

Hi Rounders,
You all look good on the video from WSAV Channel 3 Savannah!
Pam and I got assigned to march with a different band because we had enough banner and letter people.
Look at the WSAV video Part Three - Minute 14:00 to 15:00 to watch us march behind you all about 10 or 12 minutes with the Olde Towne Brass Band from Huntsville, Alabama.

As the luck of the Irish would have it, they are a Civil War band. Civil War is another of Greg and my hobbies, so the last minute transfer was okay. I ended up with a free CD of their music and made some new friends. But I wore my Rounders uniform the whole time!
Sharon Centanne, Banner Carrier and wife of Greg Centannne, Tenor Sax player

(that band played for us before the parade - click here to view and listen to a clip)
